Juxtapose

Juxtapose is a big sweetheart with big beautiful gaits and by far the best canter I’ve ever had the privilege to ride. He has had plenty of show mileage in Eventing and Jumpers but his true niche is in dressage. We recently competed at a USDF recognized show and scored a 68.7 and 69.8 (with a rider error) at First Level I & II respectively. Not only were these great scores for his debut in the dressage world but he did it with a 10 minute warm-up in a spooky coliseum. Previously, he has scored in the low 30’s in Eventing dressage at a level equivalent to Training Level Dressage with scores averaging 68%. He is schooling 2nd level and is confirmed in his shoulder in, haunches in, leg yields, lengthenings and and is improving everyday with his pirouettes, half-pass and counter canter. He is naturally forward but not hot. Although he accepts spurs and whip he does not need them. He has the outstanding ability to focus well in chaotic show conditions including water trucks and loose cross country horses running past his ring. He loves his job! He has excellent ground manners, hauls well solo or with friends, short distances and long and is a pleasure to have around the barn. His owner loves him but bought him to be an event horse and sadly this is not his first love. He does love to hack out and is brave through water crossings and mountainous terrain.
